Local Action Discerption:

The Youth Exchange/eco-camp was part of a bigger project called “youth green deal” which tries to promote eco-volunteering in the Mediterranean area and which focuses on developing guidelines for eco-camps.
Camp coordinators are trained to be more aware of environmental aspects in workcamps.

Apart from the usual tasks typical of a work camp or any project, participants will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of eco-sustainable volunteering.
The following tasks were selected:

• Restoring a dry stone wall
• maintaining the permaculture garden
• decorating the workshop room with eco-friendly natural materials.
