ECOSFERA, it’s a local voluntary group of SCI Madrid dedicated to environmental activities. This group has planned the activity of collecting waste, especially wipes, from the Jarama river and its surroundings with the hope of recovering the habitat of the river, and its green areas, protecting the ecosystem and reducing the high rate of contamination of one of the most important rivers in the Community of Madrid. SCI Madrid has raised awareness about this situation and has also done different activities to try and reverse it.
